Setting Up Shop

Hi gals and guys!

Today I’m going to do my best to walk you through the process of setting up your very own lucrative email marketing enterprise. Sounds fancy, don’t it? But here’s the thing…

I’ve never made a video before in my life! I’m a little embarrassed to admit it, but the truth has emerged and, well, there you go. Some day in the very near future I’ll bite the bullet and make a vid, but for now, I’ll just take advantage of other people’s hard work and show you some helpful YouTube vids.

So without further adieu, let’s begin.

Step One – Choose Your Niche:

You’ll definitely want to choose something you’re passionate about, as you want to be able to GENUINELY serve your market. That said, I do have a suggestion… stay in the Internet Marketing niche! I know this goes totally against what most SEO experts tell you to do (claiming that this niche is WAY beyond saturated). But email marketing ain’t SEO, my friend!

You don’t have competition in this world… you have JV partners!

Step Two – Pick Your Giveaway Product:

You can either create your own product, use master resell rights (MRR) or private label rights (PLR) products, or even affiliate products, if you’re crafty about it. Free videos work exceptionally well, and here are two “ninja” techniques you can use to combine the power of video and the ease of affiliate marketing:

1. Send your prospects to a free webinar where they receive tons of valuable content before being “pitched” an offer at the end. Of course, you will first want to become an affiliate over at WebinarSwaps, where you can promote ANY webinar in their library… and every upcoming webinar they’re about to conduct. It’s very cool and the commissions are very generous!

What I personally like to do is take a screen shot of the webinar I’m promoting, upload it it FotoFlexer, get a free stock image of a “play” button and put it right in the middle of my screen shot. It ends up looking like this:

Webinar Play Window

I then save that entire image to my computer (in my squeeze page folder – explained momentarily) and, well… click the play button above and it will take you to that particular squeeze page. It’s kinda ugly, but it converts very well!

Then, as soon as someone opts in to your email list, they are automatically directed to the webinar, where you stand to make a nice, healthy commission (paid instantly into your Paypal account!) that will offset any of your traffic costs, and maybe even put you into profit right out of the gate… very cool!

2. You can actually use videos as your squeeze page “selling point” and/or your free giveaway. You can make these videos yourself, hire someone else to do it, or simply go to Killer Video Squeeze Pages and order a professionally designed video squeeze page and 5 follow-up, autoresponder videos as your giveaway.

Most web users LOVE video, and you can enjoy some really great conversions, both in terms of opt-ins and sales, when you implement it into your list building strategy. Very powerful!

Step Three – Set Up Your Autoresponder Sequence

It is incredibly important that you’ve got a follow-up sequence installed in your Aweber account. If you don’t already have an account with Aweber, then you can get one right now for only $1 (this covers your entire first month of service, then it’s $19 per month). Click here to take advantage of this offer.

Step Four – Get Web Hosting

If you don’t already have a hosting account, then what the heck are you waiting for? They’re really, really cheap! I know a lot of newbies are intimidated by the whole website setup thing, but it’s actually very simple, and your hosting account will be the central focus of your entire enterprise. You CANNOT build a stable, wildly successful online business without a hosting account!

The industry leader (for good reason) when it comes to hosting is the one and only HostGator. I’ve been with HostGator for over 3 years now and couldn’t be happier. What’s more, they’re very reasonably priced. You can currently set yourself up with a “baby” plan for under $6 per month! This is the plan I recommend, as they’ll allow you to host unlimited domain names, as opposed to just one domain under their “hatchling” plan.

Just click this link, then click the button that says “View Web Hosting Plans.” Then just follow the prompts. If you don’t already have a domain name, you can either get one from HostGator or visit a domain registrar such as GoDaddy or Namecheap.

(I am working on this page even as you read this! Please come back really soon to see how far I’ve come! You’re going to love what I share with you!)
